Anime-esque Foods :)

The pictures I have seen of anime/manga related food ( It is to be assumed that when I refer to Anime,  that I am referring to both Anime and Manga. Unless I specifically mention "the" anime version or "the" manga). I find these foods to be rather adorable, but would I actually eat them, not sure. Would any of you?

Was that enough pictures to start your addiction? ;p I wonder how good these would taste. :) omnomnom *fatkidsyndrome* Once again credit for above pictures goes to Google.

Now I show you guys my own practice of these. I made this cake for an ex-boyfriend of mine,  because he gave me a one-star dragon ball for something so on our anniversary I made him a two-star cake! This cake took me 3 hours to pipe because of the way I did it. For the icing, I whipped up some decorators icing, regular white  then dyed it orange with food coloring :) The stars are made from white chocolate, melted down and dyed red with food coloring :)

Voila! My creation

Series to Movies Good or Bad ?

Growing up in America we often see TV series spark from movies, such as The Little Mermaid or Hercules, but when we see the opposite in our animes. There are many changes that sometimes happen to the product when this change goes underway. Sometimes there are small changes such as voice changes, but other times we see more extreme changes in our beloved shows. In Inu Yasha we see the artwork change almost entirely.

In the beginning of  Dragon Ball there are 3 different beginings to how their adventure all started! One from the series and then 2 other  ones from the movies!

My real question here is if these are good or bad things? I would usually say bad, depending on the circumstances. For the Inu Yasha I would say it was bad!  An artwork change is a risk that could cause a loss in fans, but it didn't seem to take that much of a loss. But for Dragon ball I never really minded. The manga will give the authors true start to the amazing adventure that was followed for years.  That may also be my fanfiction nerd appealing to my mind. In fanfics we often see how things can take different twist and turns, so you must allow your imagination to bend some rules, or things that happened, however, everyone has those deal breakers when it comes to changing the classic foundations of animes, mangas, and fanfics. :)

Poké-Cars

My first experience with Poké-Cars was when I was at youth group and someone told me they had seen the perfect car for me ( My nick-name at youth is Pikachu-ninja). I thought this car was absolutely awesome! And ofcourse wanted one right on the spot. Naturally as my nerdy mind took over. I wanted to see if they had other cars that looked like Pokémon. That was when I discovered there aren't just a few, but MANYYYYYY!

There are three different types. 1. Those with Pokémon painted on them.

2. those that are made to look like the pokémon in car form!

3. When people glue or paste cards to their cars exterior.

There are also buses, trains, and PLANES!!

While i love all of these wonderful creations. I am rather curious to know who owns these cars. Are they used for promotional purposes only? or personal ownership? I would also like to credit all pics to google images! XD also it is very hard to find pics of real cars and not the little toy ones.. which there are many of!
How do you guys feel about these cars? Would you want one? Which pokémon would it be?

Whisper of the Heart

~Summery from IMDb~

Recently at a girls night, I watched the movie "Whisper of the Heart"( 1995). This is a great movie from the creators of Kiki's Delivery Service ( a movie much loved in my heart, since I was a youngster).

A young girl finds that all the books she chooses in the library have been previously checked out by the same boy. Later she meets a very infuriating fellow... could it be her "friend" from the library? The boy's grandfather has a violin sales and service shop. The boy wants to be a violin maker like his grandfather.
Shizuku lives a simple life, dominated by her love for stories and writing. One day she notices that all the library books she has have been previously checked out by the same person: 'Seiji Amasawa'. Curious as to who he is, Shizuku meets a boy her age whom she finds infuriating, but discovers to her shock that he is her 'Prince of Books'. As she grows closer to him, she realises that he merely read all those books to bring himself closer to her. The boy Seiji aspires to be a violin maker in Italy, and it is his dreams that make Shizuku realise that she has no clear path for her life. Knowing that her strength lies in writing, she tests her talents by writing a story about Baron, a cat statuette belonging to Seiji's grandfather.

~~
I loved this movie so much and would recommend it!! Its touching to the heart and a nice light-heart-ed watch. After watching this movie I have wanted more so than ever to watch the other Ghibli films! I have only seen Kiki and Whisper! That is crazy! I plan on watching "Spirited Away" tomorrow! *super excited*
I plan on watching many of their films, because  Ghibli knows what they are doing and what it takes to make  a great, touching, amazing film!

What do you think? Whats your fave Ghibli film? Least fave? Reasoning?

Character of the Month: June 2013

For this post I whipped out my handy dandy nerd binder that I made many a years ago to select a character to promote this month. The Character of the Month will outline a bio and various other tid-bits of their role, and most likely my opinion of them. Although, I clearly like them if I'm posting about them.

Character of June:
Inu Yasha

Clearly he is an important character, because he has a whole series named after him. :p

Half-demon,half-human, Inu Yasha desires the Shikon jewel for his own questionable purposes. He possesses his father's sword, Tetsusaiga, which enables him to defeat powerful opponents.
The offspring of a demon father and a human mother, Inu Yasha was bound to a tree by a magical arrow from Kikyo's bow while attempting to capture the Jewel of Four Souls (Shikon Jewel).  Ill tempered, powerful, unpredictable, and courageous, he seeks the jewel in order to transform himself into a full demon. His powers get a major boost when he possesses the Tetsusaiga sword that once belonged to his father.

The series surrounds is self around the search for the shattered jewel shards and the various twist and turns the team must face along the way. The series final season is now/ has been translated in English. I have been inlove with this series for quite sometime and I would highly recommend it. It has action, romance, and humor.
