I Chose You!

I have been struggling on when to post this. Why? Because I originally wanted to post this  on Valentines day, however that wouldn't give anyone a chance to make or buy any of these things. I hope you enjoy these nerdy gift ideas.

Valentines Day is day where romance blooms. People tend to give lots of wonderful gifts. Jewelry, cloths, candies, and flowers. So if you have an inner geek inside that wants to do something supper adorable for your significant other, I have an idea for you! Pokéball rose! Yes that is correct, a Poké ball rose! I know try and hold in your excitement.


A white rose painted  to look like a Pokéball, then attach a small slip of paper that says, I chose you! Now I am aware that this seems a little cliche and lame and cheesy... But it is super cute! You can also make a duct tape version!

     
And if these beautiful roses weren't enough you can ask your nerdy significant other to share a life with you... With this unique and special engagement ring.

Crab Meat Ragu Recipe

 

 Ingredients (about) 

~3 Stalks of green onion

~2pkg of cream cheese 

~6 sticks of crab 

~1 or 2 pkg of wonton shells 

**eyeball how much green and pink the cream cheese gets. that will tell you about how flavorful you want each to be.

 Instructions

1.Put cream cheese in mixing bowl and microwave till softened
2. Mix into the cream cheese the chopped crab legs and chopped green onion. mix well
3. Spoon mixture into wonton shells.
 4. Dip your finger in a cup (or bowl) of water and run it along the shells edges (to help the shell stick when folded).
5. Fold shells (make sure edges are sealed) so that no filling is leaking out
6. Fry until golden brown

Press edges together after dipping your finger in water

* These must be stored in fridge if there are leftovers because their main ingredient is cream cheese
* All ingredients should be available for purchase at Wal-Mart
**I used artificial crab meat.

I have made these many times and I find them quite delish! I would like to try replacing the crab meat with shrimp and see how it turns out!

Discovery

I discovered this manga while sitting in a Barnes and Noble. I was on a school trip in a city 5 hours away from where I live. After walking around the mall for a few hours and still having a few more to kill, I sat in the manga section to enjoy some reading. I found Beast Master and it looked interesting so I decided to read it, and in the rest of my time there I read the whole series!! You have to be thinking that I am lying, but the entire series is just two books long. I was  saddened when I discovered that it was so short, because I quickly was drawn into the story line, and wanted to continue reading them. I would recommend this series to anyone who just needs something to read during there down time.

Character of the Month: L

 L was always my (and my sisters) favorite character. He is so mysterious, especially when all we have is just a computer screen and a digitally altered voice. This detective is hunched over, claiming that it raises his I.Q. by 30 %, and always is referred to by an alias. He also has a parculiur way of holding everything. L appears to be an insomniac, this deduction is made from the dark circles he has under his eyes. While I have watched both the anime and live action movies, I have yet to read the manga. However, it is on my to do list :D Yes I have a list!


Double Wammy!

L was orphaned at a young age and is taken in by Watari to one of the orphanages that he founded  in Winchester,England. Founded after WWII, the Wammy House was initially a training facility for especially gifted children, the most accomplished was L. After L's success as a detective, the goal of the Wammy House became to produce a successor to L.
